As the mother of two, Nuri knows firsthand how challenging the first few months of motherhood can be. A practicing doula since 2012, she offers support with kindness and compassion. She has particular experience with sensitive, fussy and/or preterm babies, making her an asset to many families she has worked with. Her own son was born 5 weeks early, so she knows the struggles families like hers can go through.
Nuri has a background in cooking and nutrition, creating healthy meals for her clients when time allows.
Shayna is a mother of two children with a robust background in childcare. Shayna’s love for children led her to open her own childcare center. With a deep understanding of the challenges that come with being a mother and first-time mother, she supported new families through their final stages of pregnancy and into parenthood. Offering endless amounts of support from the first time stress of clipping your newborn’s nails, to diaper rashes, as well as sleep training, Shayna has handled it all. And when it comes to the special fussiness that comes with colic, Shayna knows first hand how hard and stressful this can be for families, as both of her own children suffered from it.
As Shayna’s children grew and the demands of her own life changed, she knew it was time to find a new, more inspiring career. She loves being able to make a positive difference in people’s lives and she is a natural with babies and infant care. Becoming a postpartum doula was an easy choice and Shayna truly feels she has found her purpose.
