Freda and Iris were everything that I could have asked for in a doula and more...I needed someone to be my advocate, and someone to be my friend, and someone to uphold my birth plan regardless of how I felt during the delivery. They both did just that. My labor lasted 24 hours, and they were with me and my husband every bit of the way.They even spoke Spanish which was essential for me since my husband speaks Spanish, and needed translations sometimes of things the doc's were saying. They met with me two times before delivery, and then after delivery, too. They have come to know our little baby boy Benjamin as he grows bigger every day, and I highly recommend using them as doulas. They were true troopers, and I am forever grateful for their grace, determination, persuasive abilities, and compassion. I just love them!

I think what I appreciated most about Colleen was her non-judgemental attitude, her sincere support of any type of birth that my husband and I envisioned for our child-whether this involved medical interventions or not. Though we chose Colleen to be our doula largely for this reason it was ironically her presence at the hospital that allowed us to continue with the natural-intervention-free labor that we had begun at home. My husband and I truly feel that without Colleen and Traci, we would not have been able to have stayed so focused and true to our instincts in the hospital setting. Having them in our corner was invaluable. With Colleen, I felt cared for before, during and after the birth of our son. Both Colleen and Traci have a wonderfully warm, down to earth, calming presence.

Colleen was a pleasure to work with and we were so thankful to have her involved in our labor and birth. She is a kind person and was supportive and respectful throughout.
